My hubby was away at the annual Piggy Kill. (Pigs are locally raised by a group of people here during the summer. That same group butchers and processes the meat, and some of it is sold to cover costs, and the rest goes to the families that helped out. It's a pretty sweet deal. The Piggy Party I posted about a few weeks ago was part of this.)
So with no hubby and no Growly Bear, I had the house to myself for the first time in FOREVER, and I was able to clean up in record time! Things put away, a load of laundry done, floors vacuumed and washed, kitchen cleaned, dinner started. And then I was done. And then I was bored.
Apparently I have no idea what to do with myself anymore in the middle of the day when I'm home alone!
What the hell did I do before having a kid? Seriously! What did I do with my time
I stood kinda lost in the middle of the kitchen, looking around for something else to clean... Well lets be honest, there's lots that needed to be cleaned, but I didn't really want to clean anymore. So, I aimlessly wandered around the house looking for something to do, and thankfully my mom texted to me to tell me that Growly Bear had woken up!
Turns out, it's much more enjoyable getting things done with my little helper then I thought. So my lesson learned for the day is, appreciate her "help" a little more around the house, cuz I really don't like doing it alone anymore!
The sun is shining, and we're going to go look for an adventure.
