Welp, we're back from vacation.
We've actually been back for over a week, but things have been busy, and I had no time to post!
Our Family Reunion was amazing! Growly Bear was a great little traveler. No issues what-so-ever. And, she loved all the attention and loves from our great big family. This child didn't play shy once! I was incredibly impressed with my little social butterfly.
We ate too much, and drank too much, and spent too much.... spent waaay too much. Thank god yesterday was pay day, becasue holy crap! I've been too scared to look at the actual balance on our Mastercard, so I just blindly made a big payment and I'm hoping for the best. At least I get Airmiles.... lots and lots of Airmilrs *nervous giggle*
Body By Vi kinda went out the window while we were on vacation. You just absolutely cannot be in Dove Creek and be on any sort of diet! The freezer was stalked full of butter tarts, ginger cookies (my personal fave!) and brownies. And on top of that, there was a steady stream of apple pie, chocolate cake, and banana bread coming out of my Auntie's kitchen. We won't even talk about the delicious huge dinners we at each nigh And then there was the beer. I might have had one or two while we were there...
So, needless to say, I went up 6lbs while we were gone. Honestly, not that bad all things considered. Since we've been back, I've been trying to tell my body that we don't eat like that usually, and it's time to get back on track. The first couple days I was a bit of a hungry, sugar deprived, crabby mess, but I'm back on track and feeling great, and down 4 of the 6lbs!
Speaking of weight loss, I bought new clothes while we were away. Despite all that eating, I'm happy to report I bought pants 3 sizes smaller then I was wearing before, and shirts one size smaller! That felt kinda great.
In other news, Growly Bear is now starting to walk, kinda. She's very shy, and acts coy about the entire thing. I know she CAN do it, but she won't. She's momentarily "forgets" that she can't walk, and she'll take off and get half way across the room before she remembers, looks at you with a cheeky smile, and sinks down to a crawling position.
And my final bit of exciting news to report, the passports arrived while we were gone! Those of you that read frequently will remember my post from a few weeks ago about getting the paperwork in order for those. Thank god all is good with them, because that's a stressful ordeal getting all that $h*t in order!
Love and Hugs
