So, we went and played a few times before the big drop off day, and she LOVED it! The second day there, she cried when it was time to go home for lunch, and even turned around, when she was half way out the door, to go back and hug the lady who runs the day care. She doesn't hug just anyone, so this was a very good sign!
Come Thursday, I was very excited for her first day, and just a little nervous of how the day would go for everyone involved. Growly Bear has never really stayed with anyone other then family before, and I had no idea how she would take being away from us all day long. So, I conveniently had to go to work really early, and told my hubby he was on drop off duty! Turns out I had nothing to worry about. It was a complete breeze, and she apparently wasn't upset in the least when my hubby left.
Aside from a small puking incident at nap time due to her not wanting to settle down for sleep, she had an amazing day! She was full of happy stories and excitement when she got home. And was so pooped she passed out at the dinner table. That's never happened before!
She came home with more stories, and this time beautiful Valentine's art work too! All in all, a very successful first two days think.
With any luck, our amazing weather we have been having will hold out for her days there this week, becasue there is a pretty awesome outdoor play area that she's been talking about pretty much non stop! The cold rainy weather kept them inside last week, but Spring seems like it's sprung over the past couple days, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for them.
Hope everyone is doing well.
Love and Hugs
P.S. Unrelated, but last night I created a yummy little recipe you all might like! Enjoy!
