Last night, after packing and unpacking and repacking 4 times, I realized to just go with it and stop stressing. I downloaded 6 hours of Cat In The Hat, Backyardigans, and Micky Mouse Fun House for the laptop. Loaded my iPod with toddler friendly games. Prepared enough snacks to feed a small country. Brought every new book Growly Bear received for Christmas. More clothes then we'll ever use. Endless amounts of sunscreen. It had to be good!
We made it to Vancouver with no problem at all. We have a beautiful King room overlooking the marina, and have received the most amazing service from the hotel, and so far I haven't discovered anything that I forgot to pack! So I'm going to go ahead and mark this down as a successful day!
We did divert a catastrophe while waiting in the ferry line up to get to the airport today! My poor husband, who sufferes from chronic heartburn, realized he didn't pack his happy tummy meds!
We made a frantic phone call to my mom, with only about 10 mins to go until it was time to board the ferry. Yelled some intructions at her on how to find the said meds in our house, and hoped for the best.
Thankfully she's super speedy, and raced to our house, and then raced to the ferry line up, and delivered pretty much the entire contents of our medicine cabinit becasue she wanted to make sure she brought the right one. We had a good chuckle as we frantically picking through the expired selection of various drugs, finding what it was that we needed.
Our flight was perfect! Clear and beautiful and zero turbulence. And Growly Bear and I slept pretty much the entire flight! I had to wake her up once we landed.
Off to have a fabulous dinner with friends now!
Love and Hugs!
